Wage Range: $18-$25 per hour
Britton Lumber Company, a regional building materials wholesaler, has a part-time opening for an Administrative Assistant at our Fairlee, VT location. This person will be responsible for daily invoices, recording accounts payable, processing and filing receiving paperwork, accounts receivable including daily check deposits and cash application of checks received, and other daily, weekly, and monthly duties as needed.
This position is also expected to assist other departments and management as needed, including helping to maintain samples, small parcel shipping, maintaining office supplies, and other tasks.
Computer experience is required, and the company will train you in our enterprise software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office experience is preferred.
This is a part-time position and required in-person work at our Fairlee, VT office. Part-time work is around 20 hours per week and we will work with you on a set schedule during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Full-time opportunities may be available, and compensation depends on experience. PTO is available if average weekly hours exceed 18 hours or more per week and this position is 401k eligible with an annual 3% company contribution.
Britton Lumber Company manufactures Eastern White Pine at its Bath, NH sawmill and distributes building materials throughout New England from its warehouses located in Fairlee, VT and Gray, ME. We currently employ about 75 people and our business is growing.
