Job Overview The
Assistant Director of Academic Programs manages all CCAS academic programs for CCAS students and faculty, including advising and counseling, curricular management, admissions and recruitment, financial aid, and some alumni relations. Their responsibilities include the MAAS Program, Arab Studies Undergraduate and Graduate Certificates, student grants and scholarships, and general support of the mission of the Arab Studies academic programs, the larger Center for Contemporary Arab Studies, and, by extension, the School of Foreign Service and Georgetown University.
Work Interactions Reporting to the CCAS Director, the
Assistant Director of Academic Programs also works with the Director of Graduate Studies.

Requirements and Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - preference for Master's degree in Arab Studies, counseling, higher education, or related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience - preference for at least 4 years of professional experience in academic advising, admissions, and program management
Preferred qualifications - Strong interpersonal and writing skills
- Knowledge of Arab world region and Arabic language
