About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its senior management team. The CFO will be a key participant in the financial and functional decision-making processes that are essential for the successful attainment of the company's mission. This role involves overseeing the overall financial operations of the acute-care facility, including accounting, budgeting, audits, tax, and other financial planning activities. The CFO will also be responsible for ensuring the company meets necessary financial regulatory and compliance requirements, providing financial leadership to hospital managers, and contributing financial expertise to the planning of new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a Master's degree preferred, and a CPA is also preferred. A minimum of 5 years of financial and accounting progressive managerial experience in an acute-care environment is required, with previous CFO level or equivalent experience being mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a background in a critical access hospital and experience with a proprietary healthcare system. Key skills and abilities include the capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships, cope with and manage change, and possess excellent verbal and listening skills. The CFO will also be responsible for the administrative aspects of leading the department, including budgeting, staff evaluations, and expense approvals.
