Overview:

 

Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

 

Qualifications:

• Experience: Two or three years experience required in patient care with IR experience preferred. Supervisory or management experience also strongly preferred.
• Required Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing program. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensure: C urrent RN license within the state of Missouri and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. 
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Other unit specific certifications as required.
