We’re looking for a highly creative and tech savvy writer to join us. In the Experience and Devices group, we are building a content design agent that will reason over a vast ecosystem, writing guidance documents while responding to precise instructions and system prompts to generate Microsoft aligned strings and design understanding. This role will be positioned in a small team and will be responsible for content design inputs and general expertise, helping build out an evaluation process specific to this project.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of prompt engineering and how nuanced use of natural language can have higher quality impact on what is generated. They will need the ability to write concisely, and the capability to work across a vast ecosystem of product specificities. You obsess about details, but you think strategically, and can always map what you’re delivering to the big picture. You have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of storytelling, including use of visuals. You’re excited about the new directions of technology. Most of all, you care about people using technology, and making their experiences better.
Responsibilities:
• Write system instructions for a content design agent for internal use
• Collaborate across a team of content designers, engineers, designers and various teams to facilitate effective agent responses around defined scenarios
• Utilize and codify prompt engineering techniques and process
• Provide clear and concise instructions for a system to creating strings and brainstorm content design needs with designers & engineers
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering
• Experience with agents and agentic systems
• Ability to navigate technical platforms for testing purposes
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to convey information concisely
