The College of Natural Sciences at the University of Hawaii at Mnoa is currently seeking applications for the position of Dean, with the appointment set to begin on August 1, 2026.
The successful candidate will be a creative, visionary, and motivational leader who builds upon the many strengths of the University of Hawaii at Mnoa (UH Mnoa) and the unique attributes of the Hawaiian Islands. They will leverage the College of Natural Sciences' strong intellectual presence within Hawaii, the Asia-Pacific region, and beyond to foster intellectual inquiry, creative problem-solving, multidisciplinary collaboration, and design excellence.
Guided by UH Mnoa's commitment to becoming a Native Hawaiian Place of Learning, the candidate will ensure that the College's educational opportunities and scholarly work are rooted in place, people, culture, community, and environment, with particular attention to the host culture in Hawaii and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Through strategic leadership and advocacy, the successful candidate will inspire academic and research excellence that resonates locally and globally.
