Sr. FPGA Design Engineer
Location: Camden, NJ
Duration: 12 Months (Temp-to-Perm Possible)

Work Schedule: 9/80, Start Time: 6-7 AM
Job Overview:
Client is seeking a Sr. FPGA Design Engineer to join the IMS - MAR segment supporting critical defense programs. The candidate will design, develop, and implement FPGA-based systems using VHDL and Xilinx technologies. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role requiring technical precision and security clearance.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement FPGA solutions using VHDL and Xilinx Vivado
• Collaborate on systems architecture and requirements development
• Utilize revision control and adhere to Earned Value Management (EVM) processes
• Work on-site in an office-based engineering environment

Must-Have Skills:

• 3-5+ years of FPGA development experience
• Proficiency in VHDL and Xilinx FPGAs (Vivado)
• Experience with version control systems
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• C++ (OOP), High-Level Synthesis (Vivado HLX/Mentor Catapult)
• Protocol experience (Ethernet, TCP/IP, PCIe, NVMe, USB)
• Experience with Xilinx SoC SDKs and PetaLinux OS

Education:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
