The College is looking for exceptional colleagues to join the MVCC community. We are currently seeking a part-time Figure Drawing Model in the School of Art. The Figure Drawing Model is responsible for posing nude for Figure Drawing 1 and Figure Drawing 2 students. These classes rely solely on a model for the work that students produce. The instructors use a variety of different poses to challenge students, the model’s capability determines the level of challenge. Key Responsibilities For This Position Include Timely arrival to class sessions as arranged by Art Department faculty and/or staff; Takes direction to achieve a variety of different poses as the instructor chooses and holds poses for periods of time; Completes modeling session as required by the faculty member; Maintains ethical and professional behavior; Other related duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Will be based on the needs of the department and the availability of the applicant. Hours per week: Up to 29 Qualifications Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours completed The ability to hold a pose for twenty minutes at a time Must be reliable and punctual Must follow directions Preferred Qualifications: Nude figure drawing model experience Additional Notes: Anyone hired as a Figure Drawing Model cannot be currently enrolled as a student at Mohawk Valley Community College. Additional Information Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
