We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their expertise in the construction industry and make a significant impact on the safety and security of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems in accordance with state and local codes. This role is integral to our commitment to safety, and we are looking for a candidate who shares our dedication to ensuring the wellbeing of all those who use our buildings.

Responsibilities:

As a Fire Alarm Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Designing and implementing fire alarm systems in accordance with project specifications and local and state codes.
2. Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing defects in fire alarm systems promptly and efficiently.
4. Consulting with clients, architects, and engineers to determine the most effective fire alarm solutions for each project.
5. Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on fire safety measures and fire alarm system operations.
6. Coordinating with other construction professionals to ensure fire alarm systems are integrated seamlessly into overall project designs.
7. Keeping up-to-date with advancements in fire alarm technology and incorporating these into your work where appropriate.
8. Complying with all safety regulations and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
9. Preparing and presenting detailed reports on the status of fire alarm systems.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

1. A valid Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) is mandatory.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm system design, installation, maintenance, and repair, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
4. Proficiency in the use of fire alarm testing and repair equipment.
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
7. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. A strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of fire safety regulations and standards.
9. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a variety of environmental conditions.
10. Proficiency in project management, with a proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
