Job Purpose: The Indirect Procurement Manager for American Builders Supply will oversee the acquisition of goods and services not directly used in a company’s primary product or service, but that are necessary for daily operations, such as office supplies, cell phone carriers, and maintenance anything else directly related to indirect spend.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and implement strategies for sourcing indirect goods and services
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet performance goals
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to reduce costs and secure favorable conditions
• Analyze spending and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Work with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Track performance against established goals and take appropriate action to meet requirements
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and procedures, as well as external regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
• 7-10 years’ experience in procurement/purchasing

Preferred Education And/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field experience; CPSM certification, preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Job requires some extended hours, as needed, to accomplish job requirements.
• Job requires occasional working in manufacturing/warehouse environment which includes high temperatures and humidity.
• Job requires interaction with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
• Job requires interaction with all levels within the company.
• Job requires to be in the corporate office (no remote work)
• Job requires sitting for long periods of time within an office environment.
• Job requires occasional travel to plant locations and/or Kodiak required meetings.
