Job Description

A K-12 school in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional for a contract position lasting the full school year. This role supports classroom teachers and assists students to enhance their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support to students under teacher supervision
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Support individual and small group activities tailored to student needs
• Aid in preparing instructional materials and resources
• Monitor student progress and report observations to teaching staff

Qualifications:

• Experience working in an educational setting, preferably K-12
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
• Patience and dedication to supporting diverse learner needs
• Relevant paraprofessional certification or training is desirable
