Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Housekeeping Team as a Laundry Attendant. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning linens, robes, and towels for the hotel, pool, and spa. You will set up and operate cleaning machines, selecting the appropriate wash cycles based on the fabric type. This is a part-time position requiring availability during nighttime hours, including weekends and holidays. All candidates must undergo a background check and physical fitness test. Job Responsibilities includes but not limited to: Linens washed and replaced everyday Ensure all articles are properly labeled and stored to prevent loss or misplacement. Rewash stained items as needed. Maintain the laundry area and equipment in excellent condition. Clean public restrooms and assist with pool pick-up. Provide support to hotel guests with their laundry needs.. Cleans and services W&R employee and public restrooms in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards. This includes but not limited to emptying wastebaskets and transporting trash and waste to disposal area, cleaning, and replenishing bathroom supplies. Cleans and picks-up the pool towels on a regular basis throughout the day. Laundry attendants need to coordinate with the rest of the hotel staff, especially the housekeeping and spa department to ensure communication of their needs are being met and items replenished for use. Proper procedures for handling any chemicals associated with housekeeping. Will clean hotel rooms as needed. Able to understand and convey housekeeping and maintenance needs effectively. Communicate necessary information to supervisors and staff regarding guest issues. Effective at managing multiple priorities, working under pressure, and exercising good time management. Demonstrate good judgment in guest and employee situations and challenges. Must be adaptable to different job roles within the department and able to handle changing conditions, priorities, and unexpected situations. Flexibility in schedule is required, as the role may involve working at unusual hours. Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Constant : Walking, standing, and repetitive use of hands, arms, and legs. Frequent: Bending, squatting, grasping, pushing, pulling, and reaching above and below shoulder level; bending and twisting of the neck. Occasional: Climbing stairs and step ladders, kneeling, crawling, power grasping. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach; lift and carry equipment and supplies such as full large laundry bags, towels, and linens. Constantly walk and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours) and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to walk over uneven ground, across 5 acres, and up and down stairs with or without reasonable accommodation. Exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity, and wetness, as well as dust, chemicals, and fumes. Work around elevated temperatures and loud noises from washing machines.
