The Lead Cleaner is responsible for giving direction, motivation, and guidance to a team of cleaners. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Basic qualifications include being 18 years of age or older, some experience required, and no high school diploma, GED, or college degree required. Preferred qualifications include customer service experience and one year of similar work experience. Responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to team members, relaying communication between team members, client, customers, and management, reporting performance issues to the supervisor, assisting with the training of the cleaning team, coordinating work assignments, assisting with making daily and weekly work schedules, overseeing and performing cleaning operations in assigned buildings, managing security of keys and access cards for the property, reporting work orders for maintenance, making sure premises are secured at all times, working with the manager to schedule jobs with the property manager and cleaning crew to complete the work, overseeing the quality of jobs and confirming completion with the manager, providing training to all new hires assigned to the building, checking supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly, completing order forms completely and accurately, and coordinating equipment usage and inventories.
