Position Summary
Assembles, repairs, and fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units. Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. Takes measurements of material and selects appropriate machine for the process.
Manual Machining - Sets-up and Operates equipment for the efficient production of quality components. Responsible for the production of high-tolerance precision parts.
What You'll do as a Machinist
• Interpret technical prints.
• Provide part quotation from technical drawings which include estimated program, set up, and cycle labor plus material size and machined used.
• Set-up, operate manual mills, lathes and grinders and adjust machining equipment for production efficiency without supervision. Able to read and utilize blueprints.
• Monitor quality of parts produced to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Abide by all Company safety and health policies and procedures.
• Must use personal protective equipment if required.
• Aware of and conforms to company ISO goals and objectives and supports company ISO requirements.
• Aware of and actively participates in company's Lean philosophy of continuous improvement.
• Ensure measuring devices used to check product quality are calibrated prior to use.
• Maintain in-process product identification.
• Follow procedure for handling nonconforming parts.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of machining experience accepted in lieu of degree. Minimum three (3) years accepted with a degree.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Exce, Outlook and Teams.

Pay range for this opportunity is $18.49 - $23.93. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
