Job Description Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a knack for precision assembly? We're seeking a skilled
Mechanical Assembler to join our team and contribute to the production of high-quality printing products. In this role, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, from assembling intricate components to performing thorough quality inspections.
What You'll Do:
\n - Assemble mechanical printing products, including print heads and sub-assemblies, following specifications and instructions.
\n - Conduct comprehensive quality inspections, checking band quality, print quality, and physical appearance of assemblies.
\n - Verify band sheet accuracy, proper component placement, and fit of mating parts.
\n - Perform physical and functional inspections of print heads, identifying defects and missing parts.
\n - Process quality rejects, returning them for repair and re-submitting after correction.
\n - Verify paperwork, production notices, and packing instructions, cross-checking counts and other information.
\n - Operate specialized machinery including energy cell, brake wheel, hot stamp, and pad printing machines.
\n - Manage stock movement to and from your work area.
\n - Maintain accurate records and reports of all work performed.
\n - Meet or exceed all department standards and efficiency targets.
\n - Collaborate as a member of a production support team, providing training, assistance, and support to achieve department goals.
\n - Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts, identifying ways to enhance product/process quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
\n - Engage in ELS training and Kaizen events as appropriate.
\n - Participate in 5S activities within the department and assist other areas as needed.
\n - Support other job functions or company processes as business needs require and within your scope of ability.
\n - Adhere to all general plant and job-specific safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications What We're Looking For:
\n - High School Diploma or equivalent.
\n - Excellent vision, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
\n - Demonstrated proficiency in basic math calculations.
\n - Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
\n - Ability to tolerate dust and work with silicone oil.
\n - Capacity to accurately follow verbal and written instructions, including band specification sheets, print head set-up process manuals, engineering custom specifications, and production notices.
\n - Legible handwriting.
\n - Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
\n - Ability to continuously stand, sit, stretch, and reach.
\n - Aptitude to identify band types and patterns, and differentiate between product line machines within the training period.
\n - Ability to assemble and retain knowledge of all assemblies.
