**Job Title: Order Picker** **Job Description** Candidates will be responsible for material handling, picking, and packing steel extrusions and aluminum products to ensure timely and accurate orders. **Responsibilities** + On/off loading product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates + Work in a team + Perform different functions on a rotating basis as needed + Be coachable + Perform all work assigned by supervisor **Essential Skills** + General labor + Inventory management + Picking + Order picking + Packing + Material handling + Experience with RF scanner + Unloading + Shipping and receiving + Electric pallet jack operation + Forklift operation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3 months or more experience with order picking + Ability to read, write, and speak English + Ability to read an order sheet + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day (occasionally up to 75 lbs) + Sit down forklift experience + Previous warehouse picking/shipping and receiving experience + Basic computer skills **Why Work Here?** Safety is the main priority at the warehouse, with many measures in place to ensure all employees and contractors adhere to safety regulations to minimize workplace injuries. The warehouse environment is clean but not temperature-controlled, so it reflects the outside weather. Noise levels can be moderate to high due to equipment operation. The dress code requires pants, no tank tops, no baggy clothing, and steel toe shoes. All other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
