General Definition of Work

• Helps clients achieve their fitness and health goals through motivating and educating them. It's much more than giving out exercise orders.

Essential Functions

• Safety of the patrons and equipment in the fitness room.
• Assess, discuss, motivate, and teach clients how to improve their fitness, strength or physique
• Exercise plans must be explained clearly to the client so they understand what they're doing and why
• Provide feedback on correct technique
• Record and monitor health, weight, fitness, and strength so that they can constantly adjust programs to challenge their client
• Rack weight plates and dumbbells and unload bars.
• Inspect the equipment and report any needed repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, customer service, and a positive attitude.
• Certification of ACE, AFAA, ACSM or other highly recognized certification.
• First Aid, AED, and CRP certification
