Position: Procurement Clerk
Location: Abbott Park, IL (Onsite | Hybrid after 4–6 months)
Duration: 12 Months (W2 Contract | Possible Extension)
Shift Timings: Monday – Friday, Standard Business Hours
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Procurement Clerk to support purchasing activities, supplier management, and procurement process optimization. The role involves applying procurement expertise, implementing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations and strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and promote procurement tools and strategies.
• Support category management initiatives, supplier scorecards, and sustainability efforts.
• Assist in achieving annual procurement targets and category goals.
• Manage contracts, supplier selection, and improve process efficiency.
• Educate stakeholders on procurement systems, tools, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and technology.
• Communicate and implement procurement-related updates across the organization.
• Resolve issues related to procurement technology and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with all corporate procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Experience with Ariba is required; knowledge of Coupa and Power BI is a plus.
• Strong understanding of requisition/procurement systems and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word .
• Familiarity with procurement best practices and supply management strategies.
Additional Details
• Eligible for 1 remote workday per week after completing 4–6 months of onsite training.
• One-year initial commitment with the potential for extension.
