Job Description

At Sunlighten, we're not just about infrared saunas, we’re on a mission to improve lives through innovative health and wellness solutions. As a global leader in infrared sauna therapy with a 25-year legacy of innovation, we’ve grown from our Kansas City roots to establish a global footprint. With the wellness market projected to reach $7 trillion by 2026, we’re proud to lead the way in light science and longevity. We’re rapidly expanding and seeking a strategic, relationship-driven, and forward-thinking Procurement Manager to lead our sourcing efforts and strengthen our supply chain. Based in the Kansas City metro area, we offer the best of both worlds: the growth of a global company with the close-knit culture of a local business.

Sunlighten's Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing the procurement function for both Sunlighten and Ice Barrel product lines, ensuring that goods and services are sourced cost-effectively, aligned with company strategy, and delivered on time to support operational and production needs. This position provides opportunities for growth in vendor relationship management, supply chain optimization, and cross-functional leadership.

The Procurement Manager will play a key role in cost control, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement within the procurement and supply chain process while mentoring procurement specialists and serving as the primary point of contact for supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.

  • Lead compliance with import/export regulations and oversee logistics coordination where applicable.

Financial & Compliance Oversight

  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies between invoices, receipts, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure alignment of procurement practices with company policies, SOX controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage cost analysis, supplier audits, and annual budget planning for procurement spend.

Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all warehouse procurement needs.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop procurement staff to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Drive process improvements to streamline purchasing cycles, reduce lead times, and leverage technology.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Develop and monitor procurement KPIs, such as vendor performance, cost savings, and on-time delivery.
