Scale Operator - 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm) - $18.50/hr (Temp-to-Hire)


Location: Ontario, CA


We are currently hiring a Scale Operator for a recycling/material-handling facility. This role is priority for the client and is a great opportunity for long-term, temp-to-hire employment. The ideal candidate has strong data-entry skills, experience with SAP or similar systems, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate the truck/pallet scale to weigh inbound and outbound materials
  
  
• Record all weight data accurately into SAP, MS Excel, and other internal systems
  
  
• Issue weight tickets and calculate net weights
  
  
• Verify material types and ensure all loads meet facility standards
  
  
• Count pallets and verify quantities of inbound/outbound loads
  
  
• Communicate with drivers, vendors, and internal departments
  
  
• Maintain a clean and organized scale house
  
  
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  
  
• Assist with basic clerical and data-entry tasks
  
  
• Work overtime as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Scale Operator, Inbound Clerk, Yard Clerk, or similar role preferred
  
  
• Proficient in SAP, MS Office (Excel/Word), and Outlook
  
  
• Strong numerical and data-entry accuracy
  
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
  
• High school diploma or GED preferred
  
  
• Ability to stand for long periods and walk between yard/office areas
  
  
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Schedule & Pay

• 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
  
  
• Must be flexible for overtime
  
  
• Pay: $18.50/hr - $18.50- Temp-to-Hire
