Department: ICE | IGSL Clinical AS NC Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Senior PACS Administrator manages the implementation, support, and operation of the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and related imaging systems, collaborating with Medical Imaging leadership, Radiologists, Physicians, and IT to ensure compliance, system integrity, and performance. Responsibilities include system configuration, user management, data integrity, upgrades, issue resolution, hardware support, and security. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Radiologic Sciences, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in IT, healthcare, or enterprise PACS management. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, IT, or related field. Five years of IT or clinical/operational experience. Additional Responsibilities: Lead and support enterprise imaging systems, ensuring alignment with clinical, operational, and regulatory standards. Oversee daily PACS operations, configuration, upgrades, user management, data integrity, and hardware maintenance, focusing on DICOM, HL7, network connectivity, and security. Collaborate with IT, radiology leadership, vendors, and teams, lead implementations, manage projects, and resolve complex issues. Define system requirements, develop policies, and optimize workflows. Mentor staff, provide training, documentation, and support system planning and regional coordination. Contribute to quality improvement through metrics and QA/QI initiatives, ensuring system availability, data security, and standards compliance. Perform other duties as assigned.
