Position Summary:

As a Mechanic, you will be in charge of completing all fleet regular and preventive maintenance and minimizing fleet downtime. This position is also responsible of ensure all equipment is maintained and vehicles are safe for the road by providing skilled maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of gas and diesel-powered engines within the 1888’s fleet; and maintains a safe and clean shop environment.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

· Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems

· Inspections and diagnoses of all company fleet and equipment

· Closely inspects parts like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, and other troublesome parts.

· Run diagnostic tests

· Conduct field visits in the case of emergencies or breakdowns

· Be on call when needed for field visits

· Maintain organized records and parts inventory

· Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; and verifying receipts.

· Maintenance must be timely and accurate.

· Physically capable to do the job.

· Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely.

· Participates in ongoing technical education

Assist with other duties as assigned

· 1-3 years of Mechanic experience

· Field truck, heavy equipment, diesel, light equipment, and automotive experience.

· Have your own set of basic tools

· Time Management

· Dependable, reliable, and self-starter

· Excellent communication skills

· Great Customer Service

· Physically able to perform the job

· Must have a “safety first” mentality

· Thorough knowledge of oilfield machinery and repair

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and be on-call as needed

· Must pass a drug/alcohol test and background check

· Must be Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

· Minimum 1 year of Oil Field experience or in a similar role is preferred

· Knowledge of basic hand tools and equipment is a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods

· Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain

· Physical tasks include lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working at heights

· The position may require travel to various field locations within the Permian Area, including remote areas

· Must adhere to safety protocols and always wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

· Must be able to commute to Midland TX, daily

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $23 - $27 per hour, depending on experience

Overtime: Eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours per week, as needed
