EMR is seeking a Staff Accountant with 1–3 years of relevant experience to support general accounting functions, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, take initiative, and thrive in an environment where independent thinking and problem-solving are valued. This role will be worked 100% in the office in Camden, NJ. There is no opportunity for remote or hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end journal entries and supporting analyses.
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
Monitor and update capital projects, fixed asset additions, and transfers.
Perform day-to-day accounting tasks and assist with accounts payable functions.
Generate ad hoc reports and analyze financial data using Excel.
Identify and implement process improvements.
Assist with special projects and perform other duties as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong ability to think independently and critically assess financial data.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data-heavy tasks.
Familiarity with accounting software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
MS Dynamics 365 experience is preferred but not required .
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA certification or working toward CPA is a plus.
Experience in a manufacturing or resource recovery environment is an advantage.
Pay $65 –80k/yr
