Position Summary: Store Managers is responsible for all aspects of the store operations. Responsibilities include team member management, ensuring customer satisfaction, inventory control, achieving sale targets, and giving oversight to the interior & exterior of the store. The Store Manager will also assist customers in the selection of paints, coatings, colors, supplies, & spray equipment.

 

Job Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and ensure the efficiency of all daily operational procedures.
  • Achieve sales targets and profit plan by controlling expenses, determining the proper amount of inventory, and growing net contribution.
  • Manage store accounts, contact accounts as assigned, and put data in CRM program.
  • Work with the Sales Team as a contributor to overall regional sales targets & grow market share.
  • Recruit, onboard, hire, and train new staff.
  • Train new team members and provide ongoing education for all team members.
  • Schedule and manage team member work hours, time-off requests, and store labor hours.
  • Oversee sales of paints, coating, supplies, spray equipment, and also rentals of sprayers.
  • Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established company policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of company products and be able to educate staff about products.
  • Assist customers over the phone and in the store with selections, questions and orders regarding architectural, commercial, and industrial paint products, coating materials, and spray equipment.
  • Prepare orders by mixing/tinting paint to customers specifications.
  • Accurately identify and match paint colors.
  • Accurately process checks, cash, and credit card transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer & safe.
  • Load and unload the delivery vehicle as needed.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the products and services.
  • Ensure that customer issues are quickly and efficiently resolved.
  • Manage miscellaneous tasks around the store such as stocking, cleaning, filing, organizing, etc.
  • Performing and oversite of product management, including ordering, receiving, price changes, handling damaged products, and returns.
  • Give oversight to interior & exterior maintenance, cleanliness, organization, & safety of property & premises.
  • Other duties as assigned by General Manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Previous Retail Management or management experience a plus.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate positive teamwork skills and multitasking.
  • Excellent customer service skills and reliability.
  • Ability to coach, provide feedback, and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store team.
  • Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem solving & planning skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and cash handling / cashiering skills.
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds frequently.
  • School graduation, high school diploma or comparable certification (GED), some college preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes Saturdays to meet business demands.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies.

  • Be scheduled for 47 ½ average hours per week (per quarter).
  • Be prompt & available at store as scheduled.
  • Be the point of contact while the store is open.

  • Be a person of integrity, committed to serving with excellence.
  • Arrive before store opening time to set up store.
  • Assure the store & storage areas remain at proper temperatures for inventory storage
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and in a prompt manner (emails, texts, phone calls, meetings, etc.)
  • Assist with property maintenance, cleanliness, & assigned duties.
