Job Description The Student Recruiter in the Office of Admissions is responsible for the overall management of an assigned territory from prospect and inquiry to applicant/admit/enrolled stages. This person will provide leadership and oversight of all recruitment and enrollment activities and initiatives within their given territory- activities that will be both assigned and individually initiated. This position is expected to meet stated performance standards and benchmarks, as well as perform at or above goal in all areas.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Communicate with prospective students, parents/guardians and high school counselors; disseminate accurate and pertinent information to all prospects;
• Execute school visit programs including Apply-on-the-Spot events;
• Represent the University at college and career fairs as assigned;
• Initiate follow-up communication with students who made contact with the University through college fairs, high school programs, campus visits, or other means;
• Respond to inquiries regarding admission requirements and process; maintain contact with counselors, principals and teachers in assigned territory.
• Process and preview applications and make admission decisions as needed.
• Work to complete all incomplete applications, as well as solicit applications from non-applied inquiries and solicit deposits from admitted students.
• Utilize Banner, Recruit and other technology and systems as required. Counsel prospective students and their parents relative to admissions requirements and student status, financial aid policies and procedures, residence services, student activities, campus information about the University, etc.
• Participate in recruitment programs that take place on campus including daily presentations/tours, Open House and group tour events.
• Access and examine quality control reports for accuracy of data such as application information including but not limited to citizenship, checklist information, prior college records, residency and admit decision.
• Call/e-mail/text/travel campaigns and programs as assigned.
• Coordinate special recruitment activities/trainings/programs as assigned. Other duties as assigned, related to territory management and functions within the Office of Admissions.
• Counsel prospective students and their parents. These counseling sessions include, but are not limited to: admissions requirements and student status, financial aid policies and procedures, residence services, student activities, campus information about the University.
• Access SCT Banner and Recruit student information systems for prospective applicants to actively advise the student. Respond to inquiries regarding aforementioned issues via email, written response, by phone, and in person
• Assist with all aspects of recruitment, advising; enrollment process as assigned, to include administrative, communications and processing, duties as needed.

Required Qualifications
Education Bachelor's degree plus six months of experience in admissions/recruiting/advising or an active undergraduate experience at an institution of higher education or other relevant experience; must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to complete assignments independently and meet changing deadlines. Valid driver's license necessary.
