Tax Accountant

Position Overview
We are a mid-sized public accounting firm who offer extremelyt flexible schedules with no minimum hour requirements like big firms. We allow our employees to work the schedule that works best for them.

Currently, we are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing various tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing tax planning advice to our clients. The Tax Accountant will work closely with clients to understand their financial situations and help them minimize their tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns (1040) and trust tax returns (1041)
• Prepare and file corporate tax returns (1120S and 1120)
• Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and opportunities for tax savings
• Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current regulations
• Provide support during tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
