A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Transformer Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for performing the final assembly of the transformer to prepare it for testing and the disassembly of the tested transformer and preparation for dispatch. This position is designed for someone with a growth mindset and a commitment to safety and quality compliance. You will receive specialized training in Large Power Transformer Manufacturing as well as cross-train in new processes as you progress in your job role. You will gain unique and valuable skills that will set you apart in the world of Large Power Transformers.
This position is based at our upcoming Siemens Energy Transformers Manufacturing Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The facility is scheduled to be operational in 2026. Initially, your journey will involve supporting the factory's construction, helping implement new processes, building a high-performance team, and coordinating all aspects of the setup to ensure a smooth transition into full-scale production
How You'll Make an Impact \n - Prepares and assembles transformer components (tanks, covers, radiators, etc.) for final assembly and prepares the unit for testing
\n - Supports the testing process and disassembles accessories post-testing to prepare the transformer for shipping and dispatch
\n - Operating overhead cranes, forklifts for transport of accessories and components
\n - Performs quality inspections, documents processes, and assists in developing and maintaining technical instructions for assembly and disassembly procedures
\n - Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.
\n - Responsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.].

What You Bring \n - An associate degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered
\n - Experience operating cranes and the ability to obtain a Crane operation certification.
\n - Ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings, and perform complex measurements.
\n - Applicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community colleges.
\n - Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck License and certification for working in heights.
\n - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting.

Other Key Requirements: Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests, read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.
Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil or Germany for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months based on the proficiency in the area of training. Appropriate relocation support and compensation will be provided.
