Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks an experienced PCU RN with Epic experience and ACLS/BLS certification for a day shift contract assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
• Patient ratios are currently 1:5 with a goal to achieve 1:4
• Unit assignment will be determined after clinical evaluation based on facility need
• Day shifts of 12 hours (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), three to four shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to float within their scope and acuity as needed
• Assignments available from 14 to 52 weeks, with flexible contract lengths
• Holiday coverage is required; at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, with two holidays required during the winter season (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, or New Year's)
• Christmas RTO cannot be approved
• Online modules and Epic system orientation are required and may be completed before or during the initial orientation
• Travelers may not be local; candidates must live at least 100 miles away, with limited exceptions for those living 50-99.9 miles away for one 13-week assignment
• Return travelers must not have worked at the facility within the past year, and travelers are not eligible to return after 365 days on assignment
• Scrubs or dress code requirements are determined by the facility after assignment

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum requirement of experience with Epic EMR
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Copy of Driver’s License and Social Security Number required
