Our tutors are dedicated to the success of our students and believe that every student counts. Tutors have flexibility in their schedule and work in a comfortable environment in the Academic Resource Center where students come and go. With a student-first philosophy and agile approach, tutors are key players in student success at Cox College by offering tutoring services and working on other special projects. Job Requirements Education: Must have completed at least one semester at Cox College OR a Bachelor's Degree Experience: Successful course completion with an A or B grade on final grade in subjects tutored Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to serve multiple students in multiple subjects at the same time Maintain open and honest communication in order to facilitate a positive learning environment Have an attitude of service and empathy, being able to work with students in an encouraging, helpful way Dependable, responsible, punctual, and prepared Maintain confidentiality Must have patience and a strong desire to help students achieve their goals. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.
