An international automotive parts manufacturer in the Parkersburg, WV area is looking for a Quality Control Engineer. This position is in charge of implementing quality control processes and supervising quality personnel. The ideal candidate must be able to resolve quality issues with suppliers, ensure all standard operating procedures and countermeasures are used, and audit internal systems to prevent quality control issues. This is a direct-hire and a full-time position. What you will do for the Quality Control Engineer position: Investigate customer issues relating to quality Provide technical and statistical expertise Support the deployment of Quality Management System Monitor the manufacturing quality performance indicators Coordinate objectives with production procedures to minimize costs Implement inspection criteria and procedures Apply total quality management tools to analytical processes Design and develop quality control training programs Communicate with vendors to make sure all the purchased parts and equipment meet the criteria Use ISO 9001 system to ensure the quality on production process Supervise a team of quality control inspectors What you will need for the Quality Control Engineer position: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience Experience in manufacturing quality assurance and/or control and continual improvement Experience in working automotive parts manufacturers is preferred Experience with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 Kaizen, 5S, or Lean Six Sigma experience required Proven ability using Root Cause Analysis Working knowledge of networks and database systems Capable of maintaining high confidentiality Must be willing to travel up to 15% Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions / Renaissance Resources Inc. has been a trusted leader in North American recruiting for Japanese businesses for over 25 years.
