I T Intern (Must be a US Citizen, Drug Free)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated IT Intern to assist with IT inventory set - up, IT management and the IT office re-organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a real-world office and IT environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inventory Assessment:
  • Set-up and maintain current IT inventory
  • Re-order if necessary
  • Evaluate and categorize unused IT equipment (e.g., monitors, keyboards, circuit boards).
  • Test and verify working conditions.
  • Tag and segregate functional vs. non-functional equipment.
• Office Organization:
  • Clean and reorganize the IT office and storage areas.
  • Prepare space for shared use by multiple IT service providers.
  • Sort and label items for internal use and for company segregation.
• Training Computer Prep:
  • During National Instruments (NI) courses, assist in preparing training computers.
  • Install and configure virtual machines (VMs) as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current high school or college student or recent graduate in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with basic computer hardware and software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience with virtual machines a plus.
