Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring a NC or compact RN license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Provides care for patients with complex medical needs
• Rotating shift schedule with variable hours
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process
• Assesses patient readiness to learn and develops appropriate care plans
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and revise plans of care
• Performs bedside point of care testing as needed
• Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
• May participate in professional growth activities and unit performance improvement initiatives
• Holiday coverage may be required per hospital schedule
• Background check and drug screening required prior to start; deadlines for documentation are firm

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of one year nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
