Born in 1979 in Pisa, Italy, he graduated at New York Film Academy in Filmmaking in 2000 and at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (National Film School) in Cinematography in Rome in 2004 under the tutorship of Giuseppe Rotunno, AIC, ASC as well as other prominent directors of photography. In 2010 he attended the Advanced 3D Workshop tutored by Geoff Boyle, FBKS, where he learned the tools of shooting S3D.
Since 2008 he lives and works in the UK.
In December 2010 his daughter Galatea was born and since then he’s been a very happy father. In February 2016 his second daughter Amarilli was born doubling the happiness.
He’s a proud member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians (GBCT).
His primary goal is to shoot feature films, commercials and music videos with strong narrative and challenging visual style.
He’s worked with artists: The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Richard Ashcroft, Pixies, The Killers, Blur, James Blunt, James Blake, Caribou, The Gaslight Anthem, Elli Goulding, Savages, Gaslight Anthem, Dirty Pretty Things, The Libertines, Two Doors Cinema Club, Hurts, La Roux, Little Boots, Gary Numan, Jamie Cullum, PJ Harvey, The Noisettes, The Good The Bad and The Queen, Clare Maguire, Polica, among others.
He’s worked with brads: Nokia, Andrex, Marks&Spencer, Talk Talk, Debenhams, Which Magazine, Hogan, Hackett London, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6, Anya Hindmarch, Ada+Nik, among others.
